Pregnant as a teacher?

Question

Hey I thought I would create a post on behalf of a loved one who is a kindergarten teacher. She was saying how much she wants a kid but is scared of how pregnancy will get in the way of her teaching (morning sickness or having to pee all the time, etc). I couldn't think of anything reassuring to tell her since I'm not a teacher and I have no clue how you'd deal with those things. Is anyone here a teacher that's been pregnant/is pregnant? How do you deal with those pesky pregnancy symptoms while teaching? Thanks in advance ❤️😁

As a teacher, I always check in on my pregnant coworkers and have been their potty buddy (watch their class while they run to the bathroom). 
I’m not concerned about being pregnant (when I finally get pregnant) because I know my coworkers are always there to help! 
I know at the schools I’ve worked at, everybody looks out for the pregnant teachers. Frequently checking in with them and making sure they’re doing ok. I would imagine her school is similar. :)

I'm pregnant-almost 11 weeks.  Thankfully, I haven't had any of the pesky pregnancy symptoms, but I know my administrators and fellow teachers are super supportive.  My next door teacher has graciously offered to stand at both our doors, should I suddenly need to run out for whatever reason (puke, pee, etc.).  Other teachers in the building have gone through this, so they are very sympathetic and helpful.  I've gotten nothing but amazing support.  The best thing about being pregnant as a teacher...I'm due in April.  Once I leave to give birth, I'm done for the school year.  I'll take minimal maternity leave, and then have the summer off.  In total, I'll have almost 5 months off with my baby before the next school year starts.

I’m a high school teacher and currently 17 weeks. I had the advantage of having all of first trimester during the summer but I’ve still been dealing with morning sickness and fatigue. Walking so much more is also very difficult. Hopefully she can find something that helps for nausea and that’s really difficult at school. Tell her to snack often! Insoles in shoes are great too (I got ones made for flats). As for teaching kindergarten I’m not sure how bathroom breaks are so no advice there as I just go in between each class. Can’t think of anything else right now but hopefully her employer knows about it because that is a big help!

The principal put an aide in my room so I could run out and throw up or use the bathroom. Not going to lie it was hard and exhausting. I had to end up sitting a lot because then during my 2nd and 3rd trimester I would sometimes get close to passing out. I made it through. I didn’t think much of it. But the support of my team and the principal and staff and God giving me strength I got through it. The key for me was telling my team and my principal right away honestly. They supported me from day one. I know some people like to wait to tell but I found it very beneficial and life saving to tell them right away.
