Is It A Bad Luck To Tell Everyone You Are Pregnant?

An awful lot of women will be reluctant to tell everyone until they have reach say 12 weeks or gotten into the second trimester due to the risk of miscarriage being higher in the first trimester. Bad luck? I don't think so - a little bit of protecting yourself maybe.
There are a whole host of superstitions you're gonna come across while pregnant and honestly that's exactly what they are - superstitious nonsense.

I told everyone pretty early on with both of my pregnancies. With my son I was about 5 or 6 weeks, and the day I found out was the day everyone found out (he is almost 4 now). 
With my daughter I was 4 weeks when I told everyone. 
Some people wait till the second trimester but I’m glad that I didn’t, I lost my daughter at the beginning of my second trimester and the only thing that made me feel remotely better was that she was very very loved for most of her life by her whole family. I didn’t keep her a secret, I made sure she was loved and celebrated from the moment I found out about her, just like I did with my son. 
I think babies are blessings and should be celebrated no matter what. 
It’s up to the mama to decide, 
Things may happen either way, that’s the scary part about this process, but what makes it less scary is having those around you who can love and appreciate your baby, who can give you support, and celebrate with you. This is a happy thing! 
I say celebrate, and don’t worry about old wives tales, they will make you crazy 😜

We told his our two closest friends (his best mate and my best girlfriend) as soon as we got the positive test. Didn’t tell others till after my first ultrasound at 11 weeks 
Was kinda hard to keep it from the in-laws as we were living with them and I had horrible morning sickness
