Pain in pelvic area/lower abdomen

I feel silly for asking since I’ve had a period for 14 years and I have 3 children but I started my period yesterday and use same tampons as usually and tonight when I went to change my tampon I noticed a sharp pain while taking it out.. but it stopped so I just thought it was weird and inserted another tampon and went on with my night

Now I’m getting bad cramps and that sharp pain again to the point I could barely walk upstairs into my bed so I took my tampon out and am just using a pad for the night but I still have that full ache/sharp pain come back occasionally.

Has anyone else had something similar to this happen to them?

I plan on calling my gyno tomorrow morning.
