period and birth control

i started birth control (taytulla) on monday. My period right BEFORE i took it was almost like spotting so i wasn’t sure if i should take it but i did anyways. In addition, my period was also 1 week early. Ever since i started taking it, my period has been super light and very unlike my normal flow. is the birth control doing this? should i be concerned?

i have not had sex yet so no i am not pregnant
