Measuring 2 weeks early?

Every ultrasound appointment that I have had since 8 weeks has shown that my baby boy is measuring 2 weeks ahead in weight. Has this happened to anyone before and if so what happened? Was your baby born 2 weeks early, just trying to plan everything out since I am due in 2.5 months.

My friend was measuring 2 weeks ahead her entire pregnancy and had to get induced because of it. All it really means is you baby is measuring biggest than other babies. You could go early, or you could even go late. Sometime with measuring early doctors will offer to induce to be sure baby isn’t too big for you to deliver

Also keep in mind that ultrasound isn’t all that accurate for weight measurements. So unfortunately it doesn’t tell you all that much to help with narrowing down your due date.

My sons ultrasounds always measured ahead. So we had to go weekly and see a specialist. He ended up being 8.7, with a big head and short limbs. Born on his own at 39wks.

Not exactly the same...but my third babe was measuring behind by 3 weeks. They were so concerned about her growth. The told me for months expect a small baby around 4-5lbs NICU time etc she came full term at 39+5 7lb on the dot. no nicu or anything. That’s when I had the on call doctor explain to me that the ultrasounds can be off by a pound or so. They aren’t 100% accurate measurements. So same would go for measuring ahead. Your “big baby” might just be a normal sized baby 🤷🏻‍♀️🥰 best of luck!
