Needing Advice/Someone to talk to.

Are there any police wives on here?

My husband is in law enforcement and it’s making me resent him. He works 2nd shift and we have opposite schedules. I get to see him for 1 whole day out of 7.

We are currently pregnant with our first.

There are SO many things to get done before she arrives in January (we’re redoing our bathroom, her room, replacing doors, etc). When he’s not at work, all he does is sit around and watch TV, even though I mention finishing up projects. He doesn’t listen.

The one day a week we spend together I feel like the ultimate asshole. Instead of spending quality time together, my anxiety takes over and I’m dying to get things done before she gets here.

I completely respect and appreciate how much work he puts in and what he sacrifices, don’t get me wrong. But I feel like a single “mom” in way. I can’t remember the last time we had a date night and we’re on each other’s asses 24/7 because we’re cramming a weeks worth of time together into 1 day.

This post is all over the place and I apologize. How do you other police wives/moms deal with the demands of your partners job?
