The pill

I've had heavy periods on the pill. I told the nurse about it and suggested me to skip the placebo pills and start a new pack so I don't get a period.. well I was supposed to start the placebo pills monday Oct 5 but I skipped them and went to a new pack. I've been spotting very light on Thursday the 8th and then it goes away. It only shows blood when I wipe myself but today I'm getting more like a heavy spotting almost like a light period. Is this normal even of you don't take the placebo pills?
