Did I miscarry?

So I really thought this was our month! My boobs were sore... And AF was due today, Wednesday I took a test 4 days before it was a BFN .. So I was going to try and today... Thursday I was out to eat with friends and had bad cramps so I went to the bathroom and it was bright red blood and lots of blood clots! From then until Friday morning I had horrible pain and more clots, also like a mucus. I miscarried at 9 weeks in Feb and it reminded me of the start of that! I would of only been 3 weeks, and I am now no longer bleeding and no AF today. So I'm almost positive I miscarried because of what I went through, but is that how short the process is so early on? Should I have had a positive the day before? If I did miscarry should I still expect my period today?
