Would you support stronger gun control such as, but not limited to, registration of guns? (This is for hw thanks)

This is an opinion poll, please don’t message me saying this is an unreliable source, it’s not about the realities of gun control, only peoples opinions on it. Thanks for responding, please only do so if you live in the US!

Yes. Treat guns like cars. You need to take tests (practical and written) and be licensed, renewed, and inspected on a regular basis (for a fee.) responsible gun owners don’t mind reasonable restrictions.

I live in australia - after a mass shooting in 1996 where 35 people were killed we banned guns. Not all, we have SUPER tight firearm laws. The people that have them usually live rurally and use them to kill kangaroos, pigs and other animals that threaten their livestock and crops. 
We haven’t had a mass shooting since the 1996 tragedy. 
In 1990 we had 614 firearm deaths, and 274 in 2016. 
In my opinion, stricter gun laws have proven valuable in saving lives. In saying that, not everyone that owns a gun is going to shoot someone...most of the gun enthusiasts in america take the necessary precautions and respect the power of the weapon. But I personally think it’s worthwhile tightening the reign on gun laws in the US

After the 89 school shooting in Quebec, Canada put in gun control, guess what? We haven't had a shooting like that again. 
What Americans need to understand is gun control is just that. Controlling who can have a gun, how many and what type. Americans also need to get their head out of the sand and realize gun control works. They just choose not to because that means they have to admit that they are not the greatest in the world and that other countries are actually better than them. 
*this is not including Americans that are for gun control and realize how fucked up the US is.

All gun laws are unconstitutional.
If banning guns were the answer to our country’s problems, I would wholeheartedly support getting rid of them.
However, the USA is a big country, and has millions of guns in circulation.
Banning guns will keep them out of the hands of ‘good’ people and leave us defenseless against murderous psychopaths.
If guns get banned all that’s going to happen is that murderous psychos will have defenseless targets.
And don’t even get me started on what the gov’t could do once all of us are unarmed.
For reference, look at some news coverage on the Hong Kong protests and think about how much is at stake.

Any  Sane Gun holder shouldn't  be against  stronger regulations  and registrations... as long as it's  minimum  fees. Example : fingerprints taken and cleared before given a Gun ?    25$  Is acceptable  not 200$  which actually sounds like a great idea to do.

I am from the US but ñived in Japan for 5 years. They have gun control which makes it soooo much safer there. The US has so many unnecessary tragedies due to lack of gun control. But what also needs to go into better gun control is a better justice system. In Japan it is a very serious crime just for a fender bender and can get 7 years in jail if its your fault. Car accidents happened very rarely while I was there. Something so basic in Japan that happens with barely any consequenses in America. You can get a gun in Japan but its a long months and months process with police waiver to enter your home at any point to check the weapon. Id take that any day there especially seeing 5 year olds take the train alone SAFELY on a regular basis but kids in America cant go to school without fear of a shoot out

I’m pro gun and pro gun control. I am 20 years old and because of state laws I cannot PURCHASE a pistol. I can have one and openly carry one if it is given to me. Whether it is registered or not. As long as it isn’t stolen. I can walk into a store and purchase any giant rifle I want to and walk right out. Only showing my ID to prove I’m 18. If I am caught concealing a pistol, I pay up to $500 and CAN (but probably won’t) spend up to two years in prison. This is where I think the problem is. Guns these days end up in the hands of anyone and everyone unregistered because the maximum punishment isn’t severe. I will not be screened for MOST of the guns I want to legally purchase. That’s insane. We all need to start respecting guns as what they are. They are killing machines. That’s what they are for. They are to kill things. Usually in self defense, sometimes for hunting. We’ve got to start realizing that. Guns are tools used for killing things. They are wonderful things when treated properly, but just because they’re fun to use in completions or target practice doesn’t mean they aren’t weapons. Everyone should have a mental health evaluation before they are allowed to come near owning one. The maximum sentence for having or selling one when you’re not supposed to should be life in prison. That will deter people from selling their guns to anyone just to make some extra cash. That’s just my opinion though. I understand that some of it is harsh or maybe just wrong but that’s how I feel.
