Would pregnancy test be getting darker after chemical?

If anyone can help me, I got my BFP on Thursday 9/12 (first 2 tests) - it was very faint but it was there! Not sure about DPO as I was sick on and off during my first Clomid cycle and didn’t even think I was ovulating.

I got blood work done that same day as I was a bit worried since I had dark brown discharge since the day before. Tests showed that my HCG was 22 and my progesterone was 0.98... which meant a chemical. I guess I’ve been waiting for more red bleeding or cramps but maybe it was too early? I’ve only had brown spotting, enough to fill a tiny thing liner once a day.

The next few tests are each day since to make sure my HCG goes lower.. It’s only getting darker so would HCG be getting higher and then dipping? Even with progesterone levels so low? Or do you think lab work could be wrong.. not sure what to think 😭
