Is 37 weeks considered full term?

I'm confused, most people say yes and now others are telling me 40 weeks?

Yes. 37 weeks is considered full term. 
But there is still a lot of growing the baby can do.

37-38 is early term, 39-40 is full term, 41 is late term, 42+ is post term

It used to be considered full term. They changed the definition a bit in 2012 to call it early term because they did notice a difference between the babies born at 37 weeks and the babies born at 39 or 40 weeks.

37-38 weeks is early term
39-40 weeks is term
41-42 weeks is late term

I had my daughter at 37 weeks. She was born healthy, however, she struggled latching. The last few weeks help them practice the sucking reflex. She essentially had to learn and it was very frustrating for both of us. Other then that no issues.
