I feel like I’m going to break down 😔

My fiancé was supposed to be discharged today after being hospitalized since July 21st. I drove two hrs here to Vanderbilt & their trying to keep him because he spiked a fever over night . . He’s completely fine now. They want to “keep an eye” on him . Basically they want him to stay until his labs come back Thursday. Just to make sure he’s not infection still(which I highly doubt) his cultures have been cleared since the 1st of August. His great grandmothers funeral is Thursday as well & we were trying to make it home for that reason. I literally have $40 to my name. My 6yr old twins. A quarters worth of gas. No clothes. No where to stay until Thursday. Nothing but chargers & iPads because expected to just pick him up & drive right back home. I spoke with his case manager before coming & she had cleared him. No one notified me of the changes. I’m literally overwhelmed & idk what to do. Should I go home and try to return Thursday? Which means hell be here left alone & missing the funeral. Should I stay? Missing work & my kids missing school 🤦🏻‍♀️ should I just allow him to discharge hisself despite the doctors orders 😔
