Knowing before your gender reveal....

How many of you knew the gender before your reveal? Did you hide and and how did it go trying to hide it? We decided we want to know first (2 days before our reveal) as we are really anxious and just want to have that moment to us. BUT I have been so bad at hiding things with this pregnancy. Like it’s literally impossible for me to lie (I think baby is doing it ha) which worries me as I need to try to hide that I know from my family (they would be upset if they didn’t find out with us). Weird situation but looking for tips and/or advice.
