Wellness visit abnormal eye exam result ?

We just had our 1 year wellness visit today. During they visit the tested our sons visit with a camera and photo light. They tried multiple times as he was distracted and wouldn’t look at the camera long enough. The test, after testing two more successful times, came back abnormal. It was normal at his 9 month exam, I and my husband do not wear glasses or contact or have any eye history. We are being referred to a pediatric optometrist for assessment.

Has anyone had this happen? I am trying not to google and be concerned.
