Abuser Second chance?

If a man that promises to get help.. And actually does it and shows progress and actually sees his wrong and stops blamimg and no longer abuse you Would you give him a second chance? Any one give an abuser a second chance? How did it go?

I would not give him another chance. If you are going to do it, please be safe. Don't take his word for it. My suggestion is that he would have to be out of the house for a full year. He would also need to be going to therapy and anger management classes weekly. After a year if he had showed consistent change then maybe think about trying again. If, at any point, there was even a hint of controlling or abusive behavior you should leave and never look back.

I haven't tried it. It would probably depend on the severity of the abuse. And I would most likely give him a chance by allowing him to be in my life, but not together. There is a lot of things to rebuild if it has to work.
But if he had beaten me, I wouldn't go back.
