Are you supposed to instantly know if you have a connection with someone?

I met this guy the other day. Well we met on tinder but physically met up the other day and he’s such a sweet amazing guy with a great personality but idk what it was I just wasn’t into him. I didn’t feel anything for him like any physical pull. If anything I would love to have him as a friend but can’t see myself dating him. I’ve never really met up with guys before so I don’t know what it’s supposed to be like on the first date. There is also the issue with his name being my brothers name it kind of weirded me out because I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal when I matched with him but it ended up bugging me. He really likes me I think and he wants to meet again soon but I have no idea what to tell him.
