Update on Averie’s toe🚨

Since 8/17/18, Averie was born with two huge purple toes; Dr price, my OBGYN, and the nurses had brushed it off as bruising due to pushing. At Averie’s 2 day check up the pediatric clinic agreed but wasn’t sure; 6 months later i seen dr Thorguson at the clinic who didn’t agree and sent us to a dermatologist just for a dermatologist to say its a hemangioma. After months with no healing and the dermatologist taking her off the meds bc they wasn’t working we went back to thw clinic and got referred to a specialist. Today the hemangioma specialist at ochsners is saying it’s definitely not a hemangioma; we were then sent a orthopedic surgeon who then sent us to a plastic surgeon. Needless to say she will have to go under to get it removed and biopsied for cancer among other things. Please everyone pray that its nothing major bc im one worried first time mommy, and not knowing right now has got to be one of the worst feelings.
