Best birthing position?

Ok guys I’m looking for advice on the best birthing position. And did the hospital let you choose your position? I’m not talking about during labor but more when you are ready to push. With my 2 other kids I did the standard half sitting position to push. The contractions are never bad for me it’s the fact that my body moves too quickly and I want to start pushing when I’m only a 9 so I end up getting the epidural so things can slow down. Now that this is my 3rd I want to try something different. Is there any birth positions you liked? Or is there anything else I can do to slow things down while the baby’s head drops?
