Opinions please? Sweep or no sweep

Hey all. Help a momma out. I’m kinda torn. My oldest is turning 9 on Sunday. He’s got mixed feelings about his sister being born on his birthday. I want them to have their own day each even with 9 years between them. I’m 39 weeks though and she’s still not here. My youngest I went at 38 and change. So I was HOPING she’d be here already.

Friday I have an appointment. I know at 39 weeks they’ll offer to do a sweep. Would you risk it? Or would you pass on a sweep and see what happens that weekend on its own?

I know the sweep only helps if you’re ready and baby is ready. My last I had a sweep done at 2 ran errands and he was born before noon the next day not even 24 hours later and that was at 38 and 2 when he was born. This is baby 3 child 4 so I know there’s no promises a sweep would definitely get labor going. But still. Would you risk it?

I’m leaning towards no.
