Would an under the stairs storage area be a plus for you when buying a home?

My husband and I are currently in the midst of doing some remodeling in our home... And one of the things I'd like to do is incorporate an under the stairs storage area.. however, this also isnt our forever home.. we will be selling it in a few years if we get PCS'ed somewhere else when he finishes up his current contract. So I wondered if.. having a storage space under the stair case would be a positive when looking to buy a home.

One idea I have since our stair case is pretty deep is creating a "secret" play area for our child to play in.. along with an area to put shoes, coats in.

Another idea I have is specifically using it for cabinets.. to put our shoes in.

Anyways, just wondering what the general consensus is for people when looking at homes on storage.
