Tonight my husband and I are going to go see a play, and so I wanted to look nice, and get more dressed up. I put a lot of extra effort into my makeup, and it didn’t turn out the way I was expecting, and I was a little embarrassed.

When he came home from work to pick me up, the first thing he said when he opened the door was, “You look so beautiful! Wow! Your makeup looks really good!”

When I told him I didn’t like how my makeup turned out, he was like, “Really?? Because I think that’s one of the best Smokey eyes you’ve ever done!” And he was telling me how he loved the “bronze tones” to my makeup, and I just felt so loved. He really takes time to listen to my makeup talk, and he knows just what to say to make me feel loved and beautiful.

I’m so blessed to have him as my husband and best friend, and I thank God for him every day. ❤️
