How often does a negative pregnancy later turn positive hours after being in the trash?

I know I’m going to get told it’s not valid after the window of time to read the test and to retest in a few days. But I’ve had 2 kids and TTC for 6 months and have never had a negative test turn positive hours later

You predicted right because hats exactly what I’m going to tell you..It’s not “turning positive”. 
Most pregnancy test instructions state to only view the test results within the allotted time frame for that particular test. There is a logical reason behind this because a dried out test that’s been sitting for hours (sometimes even minutes) is likely to develop an evap. Anything appearing after the allotted time frame is considered invalid 😕
