Help!!

I am a few days late so I checked my cervix. It feels high and slightly open but it almost seems soft but then if I press more harder. I always have sore boobs 10 days before period but none this month. I know checking isnt a good way to tell but I get so depressed when my period comes so was hoping for a small sign if it is or isnt coming. I dont want to go buy a test toll 7 days missed bc as soon as I do I end up getting my period. I had sharp pains a week or 2 ago for 2 days and stomach hurts from gas but all those could be both
