Childbirth classes worth it?

My husband and I can't decide if the childbirth classes are worth it or not. If they are can you please say why?

I choose to read various books the library has red ones with different methods to get a range of options. My hospitals were not free.

I didn't take them. And I had a very relaxed labor. My best friend took them and she said it was a waste. My mom told me the same thing. So I didn't. And I didn't need them.

I'm a FTM wanting a natural hypnobirth... My husband was VERY nervous about when to go to the hospital, the process and all of that and he felt a lot better after attending the childbirth class... Our hospital offers them for free

I liked them and I thought my husband really benefited from them.

I haven't taken mine yet, but as someone with 4 college decrees I feel more information can never hurt. I can take 3 classes for $75 at my hospital and feel totally worth the price.

I don't know we had so many extra appointments with this pregnancy being high risk . We just haven't had time to even think about them. I say if you have the time as money why not !

I voted yes, but...
We took the classes with my first pregnancy, and while I thought they were beneficial, and I learned a lot, I didn't actually think any of the relaxation techniques were beneficial to me. I'm glad we went though. I say go, especially if they are free!

I liked them as did my husband. They were expensive, but thankfully as long as we did them through our hospital our insurance reimbursed us 100%
