Lied to my Hubby - Updated ... AGAIN

So I had this cute idea to write reasons why I love my husband on our bathroom mirror and surprise him with it. My husband was busy so I thought I had plenty of time. But then I heard him walking into our room so I hurried and stopped and went out of the bathroom to check, and he was coming when I just started!!

He saw a dry erase marker in my hand and I shut the bathroom door and told him I was doing something and he ruined it.

When we were done talking about something else, I went back into the bathroom and told him I wasn’t doing anything. I erased what I started because I wanted him to be surprised! I decided I’d do it later or another time.

A little later he went in to see what I was doing but there was nothing there. He kept looking around the bathroom and was asking what I did. I said the only thing I could think of without ruining my surprise for later - I told him I was drawing mustaches on my face in the mirror 😂😂

Then he was like, “what?! And you didn’t tell me?! I would have joined you!!” And he was like “did you take any pictures?!” And started looking on my phone and kept going on about how cute that was that I was drawing mustaches on my face in the mirror and that I should have told him. 😂😂😂

I’m going to do my cute idea tonight while he’s asleep so he’ll see it in the morning when he wakes up. And I’ll include that I wasn’t really drawing fake mustaches on myself 😂

UPDATE:

I ended up writing reasons why I love him on our mirror the next morning while he was asleep. I also put “P.S. I wasn’t really drawing fake mustaches on myself!”

When he woke up he didn’t expect anything and went into the bathroom and his face lit up. ☺️ that smile he had on his face while reading it made me so happy that I decided to make up the mustache thing so it could be a real surprise!

Then when he got to the part where I wrote “I wasn’t drawing fake mustaches on myself” he laughed and said “you weren’t?” And then I explained why I said that. 😂 he didn’t give much more of a reaction about that part than that, but I was most happy about the smile the whole thing gave him 🥰

ANOTHER UPDATE:

I came home from work a few nights after and I pulled into the garage and saw that he wrote a cute love note covering one entire side wall in our GARAGE with PAINT! 😂😂 it was cute but I asked when we’re going to cover it up, because eventually I’m going to erase the mirror, and he said never 😂 he said he wanted to do something cute like I did with the mirror. I thought it was funny that he chose paint on our garage wall 😂 but eventually we’ll cover it 🤔 I’ll take a picture of it before we do.
