My stepmom and my sisters mother in law threw my little sister a baby shower for her 2nd baby...I am having my 2nd child. The only girl in our family, and she will be the only girl because my sister can't have anymore and I won't be able to after she is born for health reason.

When I mentioned a baby shower to my family they acted like I was asking to end the world or something. They got really pissy and told me not to count on it. My family doesn't do suprise party's because they have always been a nightmare. So I know they aren't secretly planning anything. My mother in law lives 14 hrs away. She isn't planning anything. Do I have a right to be upset about this?
