Would you choose natural birth or c section and why?

Hi ladies, my friend just given birth to a beautiful baby boy via planned c section, as she was not allowed to deliver naturally by her doctor. She told me it was great and easy, and nothing to worry about if I have to have one too. Now my other friend had quite a difficult delivery, and plus I hear all these stories how much women suffer through birth. Did any of you considered choosing to have a c section even though it would not be medically necessary?

I chose natural and wouldn't have it any other way. Sure it was painful but I was out of the hospital and home 3 hours after giving birth.

I'd choose a C-section. I've had 3 and they were all easy. Recovery isn't bad at all as long as you take your pain meds and don't be afraid to ask for something stronger if what you are prescribed isn't cutting it. My sisters both delivered vaginally and it just seemed so much more stressful.

100% I’d opt for a natural birth; it’s what our bodies are MEANT to do. I was scared of a c section with my son, bc he was breach until the last couple weeks. I wouldn’t want to ever be cut open when I have the anatomy and ability to push him out naturally. My friend had a planned c section 2 weeks before my son’s birth, and I had a much easier recovery than she did, hands down.

C sections are major abdominal surgery and everyone i know who has had both c section and vaginal birth has told me that the c section was a much harder recovery. Now if there were real medical indications that a vaginal birth could be too dangerous for either mom or baby then i think choosing a c section is a great idea. My first baby did a lot of damage coming out he was huge and stuck face up and i was ripped and cut as far as you can possibly be ripped and i had to have my vaginal and rectum pretty much reconstructed after pushing him out so i was really considering a c section the second time but i had preterm labor and decided to give the vaginal birth a try since she was likely to be smaller. She did stay in till 38 weeks but her delivery was very smooth she was much smaller and i didnt tear nearly as bad. Now I'm planning vaginal with this baby too but if it gets down to it at the end and we get concerned about her size or position id probably opt for c section because i almost had an emergency one the first time after i tore and id rather recover from just one and not both.

Ive had 4 c sections and im odd but i loved them so easy for me, however doctors wont do elective c sections only do it for medical reasons

I’ve had one birth with epidural, and two natural ones. I’m pregnant again and I’m absolutely going natural this time too! I was upp walking an hour after both natural births, and I didn’t even feel like I had just pushed a baby out. And I had big babies 😅
C-sections are big surgeries and it takes a long time to heal from them.

I've had 2 vaginal births  (one with severe tearing) and 2 c sections, and no way would I ever opt for a c section. I wanted a vbac with my 4th baby so badly, but unfortunately it didn't work out and I ended up in another c section. Aside from keeping me and the babies safe, I hated it.

Gave birth 5years ago to my daughter with natural birth, it was easy and I recovered very quickly. TTC number 2 and hopefully I will also deliver this one naturally.
