My husband was never religious, even though his parents tried raising him Christian. I was raised catholic, was baptized, did my first communion, confirmation. So we agreed to baptize our little on catholic when she turns 1. I believe I mentioned this to his mom a few months ago, but today she puts a pamphlet on our table, “Dedicating your child”. I flipped through it and it said “why we don’t baptize children”. I’m like really? It bothered me to the max, I’m not extremely religious, she is. But I just didn’t like how she’s trying to “change my mind”.
