How would you handle letting a friend go?

I’ve got a someone that I just really don’t want in my life anymore for many reasons, but I don’t want to start a fight either. I just want to be done. I trying to just stop texting back when she would text me, but she just doesn’t stop. What would you do? Just ghost her or tell her to stop texting me?

We were friends in high school and for several years after, but she’s flaked on me so many times and hasn’t been there for me when I need her but I’m always there for her. I’m just tired of being the only one putting in effort to the friends ship and I just don’t agree with so many of her decisions and things she does to the point where I’m honestly embarrassed to be around her or for people to know I’m friends with her.
