Is New Orleans haunted?

I’m so scared, and kind of obsessed with anything related to ghosts (and for the record I’ve never seen one). I am going to New Orleans in May for a wedding, and I’m so scared because I hear that everywhere you go is going to be haunted. Has anyone ever been to New Orleans and seen ghost? Or anyone living there seen one???

You’ll get better responses if you post in the right group- this isn’t controversial.
And I doubt you’re going to get possessed whilst you’re there. New Orleans has a rich history so there’s bound to be lots of stories about hauntings etc. Doesn’t mean it’s all true.

Oh definitely. I’ve never seen one but I took a ghost tour when I was there and there are thousands of stories! It’s such a cool city!

I don't believe in ghosts, so I tend to be on the prosaic side about it. The best advice I can give is to not worry about it. If you've never seen a ghost, it's unlikely you'll see one just because you're in New Orleans, but if you obsess about it, you're imagination will probably oblige by throwing up phantoms. Focus on what you're there for, not on ghosts and goblins. You'll be fine. 🙂
