Does your baby sit unassisted ?

Just curious.. my dr made me feel like my baby is behind bc he can only sit in the tripod position.. he can sit unassisted for a few seconds until he toppled over lol

Don’t feel bad. Babies do things at different stages. My oldest didn’t sit unassisted till like 8 months.

Don't feel bad. My daughter has zero interest in sitting but would much rather crawl or stand up.
They learn when they want to. I'm assuming my daughter won't sit properly before 8 months or so. Unfortunately. But as I ssd, she just doesn't care at all. It makes feeding anything that isn't formula a freaking nightmare.

I just had my daughters appointment today and she sits tripod too. Her pediatrician said it's more expected by 8 months or so to be able to sit unassisted and didn't seem concerned. I wouldn't worry :)

My doctor told me if she doesn't sit unassisted at 8 months...then she is starting to fall behind

My daughter just started being able to do this... like within the last few days. And usually only on the couch or bed where she has a little more cushion to help hold her up. 
Dont feel bad! Your LO will get there when they're ready.

Just keep practicing. Last Sunday my baby barley sat 10 seconds unassisted and by Friday was sitting perfectly fine for MINUTES at a time and now she’s a pro. Just give baby time and keep practicing and encouraging!

I’m no doctor...but I don’t think that’s behind. 
My baby has no interest in sitting unless she has something she’s interested in. Trying giving a crinkly book or water bottle to hold while in the sit position and you might be surprised how much better they do when they’re amused by something

My pediatrician just told me at our 6 month appt. That my baby is ahead because he's sitting up unassisted and apparently that usually doesn't happen till around 7 months. That's what he said at least 🤷 Idk how accurate that is. but what helped for us was I stopped using seats that held him in place and started placing him in front of me and I'd sit on the floor with him and catch him when he'd lean over. I think it helped him learn how to balance himself quicker.
