Haven't had to cut baby's nails yet?

My LO is 2 months old and I haven't had to trim his nails. I've always heard they grow really fast but his don't seem to. I know they've grown a little but the ends seem to break off as I've had to pull the barely attached ends of his nail off a few times. Is this normal? I expected to have to cut them by now and am wondering why they seem to break off at the ends.

This is the same as my little guys! His kinda peel up along the ends when they get too long and I just peel it off. We only cut one of his nails cause it was so long and sharp.

Our LO nails do the same thing. When they get long enough they sorta of just "break" off a bit and I am able to gently just "pull" it off. It doesn't hurt or bother her. And I'm thankful that I don't have to worry about clipping them! 😅
It was the same with my first two as well.

I was told to wait till 6w and it was a struggle as he had some of the longest nails they had ever seen at birth in the hospital and he kept scratching his face and my breasts. He wasnt too fussy about cutting them but I havent done it since, even though they are quickly growing again.

I cut my daughters in the hospital and haven’t stopped since 😫. Almost every other day!

I didn’t cut my sons until he was about 8 weeks old and once I cut them for the first time they started growing so fast!! Lol
