But my mom used to leave my sister and I alone with my grandfather who molested her. Smh 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ll never understand that.
Her excuse was she had to go down to the welfare office and get her check every month and supposedly the people there were worse than my grandfather 🙄.
He never molested us— but I still can’t believe she left us there.

Nope. My fiancé’s grandfather molested his sisters and a neighbor girl when they were 6, his mom continued to live with them and didn’t involve police. His sisters are now late 20s and they continued to be around him because their mom made them think that was normal. Once my son was born I was made a big ass deal about this guy trying to meet my son. He never has and never will meet my son. Once they realized how fucked up it was that their mom made them continue to socialize with their abuser they hated her. They don’t talk to her at all anymore and I completely understand their decision to cut her off.
