Normal? TMI WARNING

Wasn’t sure where to post.. I’m 12 days PP and have just passed a large clot whilst going to the toilet. My midwife told me anything bigger than a 2p is cause for concern, but does that still apply now 12 days after giving birth? Or is this totally normal?

I was told after both babies that anything larger than a golf ball postpartum was a call to the OB.

I was told anything larger than a 50c piece is a cause for concern (so maybe like 2-3cm diameter if you aren’t an Aussie like me 😉).
By day 12 you should be starting to have bleeding similar to the end of your period.
I’d be making a phone call to be honest.

No it doesn’t apply after you’ve given birth, I gave birth on August 30th to my little boy and I was passing clots like that, was concerned but nurse and family members told me it’s completely normal, your body is just getting rid of everything and you just pushed out a baby, it’s going to happen.
