Finally! My fairytale ending!!!

Jasmine • All I've ever wanted is to be a mother🤱🏼High school sweethearts💕 Engaged 2017, Married & Conceived 9/14/2019🤰🏼Gave Birth 5/31/2020👶🏼 TTC #2 since 2021

My finacé and I have been trying for almost a year but not preventing for almost 3. We were starting to feel really discouraged especially after our miscarriage in April... I'm always watching pregnancy announcements on YouTube and started wondering if it would ever happen for us. All we've ever wanted is to be parents.

Well, we got married last Saturday 9/14/19 and I got a positive ovulation test that day. We conceived on our wedding night and we got a strong positive pregnancy test yestersay, the day we got back from our honeymoon (at 10 DPO). Our wedding was magical, truly like a fairytale and this is the perfect ending. My due date is 6/6/2020 and we couldn't be happier. We filmed ourselves looking at the test and telling our families if anyone wants to see those videos let me know! We're going to do an early pregnancy announcement because we're very open and would tell everyone about another miscarriage anyways so why not? We hate all the social "rules" and we aren't very traditional. I still can't believe I'm pregnant! I think I'm still in shock. I scheduled a "verification" at 6 weeks and the ultrasound at 8 weeks. I've been taking my prenatal for years now and trying to drink enough water. We've already started on the nursery and bought most things (I know we're crazy) we've just been wanting this for so long!! Is there anything else I should be doing?

On another note... we specifically picked Grand Cayman for our honeymoon because I read from the CDC that there is no risk for Zika but now I'm reading conflicting information. We spent a week there and I got plenty of mosquito bites. What should I do?

On another another note... I'm due 6/6/2020 and I'm the matron of honor for my best friend's wedding 6/5/2020. I feel horrible but my best friend is so happy for me and my long awaited pregnancy. She wants me to be safe, but I think I'll go to her wedding as long as I'm not giving birth that day. It's not too far from my house. We could bring the baby or go super pregnant, right? Thoughts?
