I feel like I'm more committed!!

Right, so me and my boyfriend are both 18, been together since we were 15. We are close to each other's families and everything is perfect, obviously we have had bumps along the way but every relationship does. Well I'm going to university next year, and me and my boyfriend have talked about getting our own place close to my university for a while now. However now that it's coming close it seems like he's having second thoughts, asking me if we can stay here? He lives with his family and I live with mine. The difference is my mum will encourage me to go out and start a life and see new things, but his mum just wand him at home all the time and cries whenever he's gone longer than a week. It's getting me down because he has said that no matter what he will move Witt me, but I think his mum is going to make things difficult. She's very possessive and treats him like a baby. Don't get me wrong, she's lovely. But annoying. Advice??😔😔😔
