Is the first round of clomid a bust?

Question

I finished first 50 mg of clomiphene citrate cd 2-6. 
Yesterday I had ultrasound but only have 10 mm size of follicles on both ovaries.
So my obygn put me on metformin. She seems not optimistic about it and already ready to up my clomiphene citrate to 100 mg for my next cycle.
Do I still have chance? Anyone with experience late ovulation although on clomid cd2-6 and manage to concieved?

I didn’t ovulate on the 50 mg either. I started 100 mg and got my first positive opk on day 15 so eagerly trying to make it through the tww. You might have better luck on a higher dose though! Wishing you the best of luck!

After 6 days in a row getting a ⭕️ for clearblue advance opk, I finally get my flashing smile. 
Hopefully I’m really ovulating by this weekend🤞. Plus I kinda have mild ovulation cramp on both ovaries. Hope this is true. Baby Dust.

I just did a “stair-step” with Clomid.. basically took 50mg CD3-7, ultrasound on CD11 showed nothing, ultrasound on CD15 showed nothing, so I did Clomid again 50mg CD15-19. Had another ultrasound today and again, nothing. So my doctor is switching me to Letrozole with this next cycle.

I didn’t ovulate my first round of 50mg cd 1-5. I went in on CD 24 for the progesterone blood test which confirmed no ovulation I never really had the cramps of ovulation I did have the discharged around CD 17 but that’s all. I keep heading Clomid can cause late ovulation unfortunately my periods don’t come on there own I went all the way through CD 38 and nothing so I went ahead and started my 5 day pill to jump start my period. I’m doing 100mg this cycle along with metformin also 🤞🏼 I’m hoping it works.
