How many naps are your little bubs taking?

How long in total are they napping? My SO has me feeling like a terrible mother for taking away a nap (1 nap total, 2ish hours) because he thinks I'm putting his cognitive development at risk by not breaking the day up with two naps. 😔

We have been down to one nap a day for months now. Can last anywhere from 40 minutes to 2 hours. Average around 1.5 hours id say. He also sleeps 12 hours straight at night so I feel like he’s still getting the recommended amount of sleep. All my kids stopped napping altogether by 17/18 months as well. If they napped they wouldn’t sleep at night.

Daycare she has 1 nap about 1.5 hour and 2 if lucky. Weekends she will have 2 naps for a total of approx 3 hours.

2 naps still here but I think he’s getting ready to drop to 1. First nap is usually 2 hours. Second nap is usually 45-1 hour. He sleeps 12 hours at night without waking.

I try so freaking hard to make my daughter take 2 naps. She takes one, and it’ll range from 45 minutes to 2 and a half hours.

I mean I think it really depends on your child. What works well for one might not work for everyone.  But sleep does help a childs brain develop and make it easier to learn things.
My child cannot really stay awake 3 hours after getting up in the morning, if I try she’ll either get very temperamental or fall asleep in the car

Weve been down to one nap for quite a while now. It started off 3-3.5 hours at a time. Then dropped to 2.5. Then 2. Now she takes a 1-1.5 hour nap. On a good day she will sleep 2 hours. 
Wakes at 6am and is bed between 7-8pm. Some days if shes only had her 1-1.5 hr nap and is sleepy, we will put her to bed a little early around 645

LO is taking 1 nap. If we don't wake her up she sleeps 2.5 to 3 hours. The only time she is taking two naps is if we are running around all day and she takes two cat naps in the car. (that doesn't happen very often) 
She goes to bed between 8 and 8:30. Usually wakes up about 7. Some nights she sleeps all night some nights she wakes up once.

It depends on the day. If she had a rough night 2 naps totaling 2-4 hours if she has a good night 1 nap 2-2.5 hours. 99% of the time she does 1 nap.

My son used to have 2 naps a day but it got to the point it would mess with his mood and his eating and he kept fighting his second nap. I then put him down for 1 nap a day (mid day) and he will have 2 hours. We are both so much better for it. He is way happier in the mornings and he is alot happier after his nap and his eating has improved. This is exactly what he needed. There is nothing wrong with switching things up to find what works best for your LO and no one should make you feel bad for that either! Everything is trial and error, what works for one may not work for another. Every baby goes at a different pace. My niece stopped all of her naps at 1 and a half years old, then I have a friend and her son is 2 and a half years old and he still needs 1 nap. Some babies/toddlers need more/less sleep than others.
