Discharge and missed period.

Well my period was due yesterday I usually spot the day before my periods and I always have mild cramps. I have nothing no cramps or spotting and every time I go to the bathroom I have this milky discharge. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant could this be a sign of pregnancy I took a test two days ago and it said no but I've never been late on a period..I don't want to get my hopes up :/
