Abscess on my gum?

Hello ladies, I have this spot on my gum that's been there almost 2 weeks. I can't even tell it's there at all until I rub my tongue in that area. I thought maybe it's an abscess but I have no pain at all. Nothing. I bite hard on something in that area, I can brush that area, I can even push the area and I can't feel any type of pain. I thought abscesses hurt like hell? Could it be something else? Any ideas ladies? I plan to make an appt at a dentist soon.

It could be an ulcer.   You haven’t had anything hot and accidentally burnt ur gum or caused any trauma to it?   With an abscess you can get pain especially on biting and it could lead to facial swelling.  Normally if it is an abscess u get a little spot (like a pimple) on the gum next to the tooth that has the infection and sometimes pus can ooze from it. 
Has the spot stayed the same size since u noticed it or has it become larger or smaller.
You could do warm salt water rinses. (Glass of warm water with a tea spoon of salt and gargle)
Usually ulcers come and go within about 1-3 weeks.   If u haven’t got an appointment booked then Book one and make a note if there are any changes to the colour or size of it as a dentist will have a better idea. 
*** if you do get facial swelling call the dentist and if it gets worse (spreads to your eye/trouble breathing, then go straight to hospital), however it doesn’t look like an abscess from my experience.

Do you/have you smoked or chewed tobacco? I would be concerned about possible oral cancer. Definitely want to have a dentist check it out either way!
