Constipated?

I think my 11 day old baby is constipated 😥 she hasn't done a poop in over 24hrs and she keeps struggling like she's trying to go but just ends up crying and frustrated 😫 she is breastfed and was doing regular poops until yesterday... what can I do

It's extremely rare for an EBF baby to be truly constipated. Breastmilk gives little waste. Try to gently massage baby's tummy, and bicycle baby's legs. it's not uncommon for a breastfed baby to go 10+ days without pooping. As long as they have enough wet diapers it's normally not a problem. But if you worry it baby seems to be in pain call a doctor.

The prenatal nurse at our hospital said this is the thing they get the most calls about. She tells the parents who call that if it’s been a week to put the baby in the car and stop for coffee on the way to the hospital, and 95% of the time the baby poops by the time they get there.

Breast fed baby's can go like 7-10 days without doing a poo. I'd go to the doctor.
