Possible blighted ovum? Feeling super pregnant and still positive hpts

I had a scan on September 20th and they saw an empty gestational sac and what “might be” a yolk sac. I was supposed to be a little more than 7 weeks pregnant. I’m going back in a few days for another scan, but I’m hoping to hear some positive stories. Ive taken a few tests and they show “pregnant “ almost immediately. Morning sickness is intense, sore breasts, fatigue, you name it. Anyone know how soon symptoms would go away if I had a blighted ovum? Would I still have symptoms at this point? I’m currently 8w5d. Update - had another scan today and they found the baby! Heartbeat and everything! Measuring 8w5d, so about a week behind. Sooo happy and relieved!

I was supposed to be almost 8 weeks when I went in for my first US and I only measured at 5 weeks. Doc said it wasn’t looking good, looked like baby just stopped growing. Went back a few days later and baby was measuring 6 weeks with a heart rate of 175!

I’ve had a couple blighted ovums and honestly had no symptoms at all and didn’t feel pregnant. I would just hold onto hope until your next scan. Will they do betas? With my blighted ovums my levels didn’t get very high and then they would start dropping fast.

Unfortunately, you can still have pregnancy symptoms and positive HPTs with a blighted ovum. I hope everything is okay, hon.

I am in the same exact situation. Empty sac on Friday we go back next Friday to see if it’s progressed. I’m also supposed to be 7 weeks so it’s very scary. I’ll post an update once I find out anything

I had a BO in January ‘19 where I thought I was 12 weeks at my US scan and my body was still making me feel pregnant with the nausea and sore boobs but then a week later my body naturally started to pass the miscarriage but I was losing so much blood I went into shock and I went to the hospital and they performed a D/C but it was a easy recovery. I wish you nothing but the best my dear ♥️

I had a blighted ovum last year in September and we didnt know until the scan but also I was having no pregnancy symptoms, I was 5 weeks along and the baby didnt grow at all just cells there. The day after I miscarried naturally.

Theres no symptoms of a BO. Your body thinks its pregnant and takes a lil bit to realize something's wrong. I've had 2. Honestly, the only way to know is a couple of confirmation ultrasounds.

Unfortunately sometimes a blighted ovum doesn’t correct itself and women have to take meds to force the miscarriage. I hope it’s not that, though!
