Baby girl was born via c-section on the 21st. We were trying for an all natural VBAC. But after a grown scan in the hospital, they told us that her shoulders and stomach were so big, that the likelihood of her getting stuck was extremely high. I’m all about giving birth to big babies and just letting things happen naturally. If a body can grow it, a body can birth it. But when the high risk specialist told us his opinion about her size and her dimensions and that he absolutely recommended a c-section, I immediately felt like it was the right thing to do. I was really really sad about not having a VBAC. But the most important thing was getting baby girl here safe and healthy. We had a beautiful c-section experience, and after 18 hours in the NICU, baby girl was breathing on her own and had stable blood sugar. We couldn’t be happier.
