Baby #2 - so behind!

I keep seeing all the posts about being ready for baby. So I'm getting antsy.

I have to pick up pack n play from in laws (we gave after #1 went into crib so they'd have a bed, they never used it), and clean it, set it up and the side baskets. I need all the things that go into side baskets (diapers!)

I made a list of 10 items we need for baby/toddler, and went to husband "it'll cost xyz, good to order?". And he responded how about in November! WTF the baby is due Nov 20th and she is the second, she could be early. I'm not exactly a model of fitness this pregnancy, Im literally losing all steam already and have a toddler running crazy. When am I setting things up? We negotiated in 2 more weeks to go on next statement because we had a lot of bills this month but, ugh, men! I don't understand why I had to explain why buying (not including waiting for shipping) 3 weeks before due date is bad, to a second time father?!

I have to pull out all the NB/0-3m clothes and rewash (although I washed before storage it's still icky for me not to)

I still haven't ordered my pump, but I'm calling this afternoon to have the office fax the script.

I mean there's obviously no hospital bag ready.

I'm going crazy today. Breath! I try to remind myself we still have enough to get by with a newborn if it happens tomorrow: a crib, some new clothes i already washed, and a boob... the hospital diapers.... and all the medical stuff we keep in stock from #1. But omg, my head is ready to pop.

Anyone else in panic mode?

I'm in full panic mode too. Due November 16th and feel like I don't have anything ready. Husband is all like "we still have almost 6 weeks left blah, blah, blah" 🙄 They dont understand since they dont do the majority of the work.

The problem is that men don’t think about the possibility of them coming before their due dates 🤷🏼‍♀️. Mine didnt start doing anything until I was in hospital with risk of preterm labour, until then he kept saying, we’ve got 10 weeks still or we’ve got 9 weeks? In his head baby is due on Nov 20 (you and I are due the same day btw) and so that was when she was coming, until the professionals said otherwise.

I feel like I wrote this minus the panic lol. I have a crib and some clothes (very little) and a boob. My husband thinks we have all the time in the world to buy things and I have carts full of stuff from Target and Amazon.

Same here! This is my third and it’s hard to accomplish things while dealing with a 3 and 1 year old. I finally started moving things into the babies room and hopefully will paint this week but I have a lot left to do. 😕 I got in a big argument with my husband about a month ago about how things should be done before the end of November too. There will be no time with three kids to do anything!
