Eleanor & Nora?

Are Eleanor and Nora too similar to each other? 
My niece is Eleanor, but we call her Ellie. My husband and I love Nora, but we recently heard that it’s too similar. 
His grandmother was Eleanor and we wanted to represent her in some way too. 
What do you think?

I personally think it’s fine. My brother is named Jacob and my mother’s brother named our younger cousin Jacob as well. Neither of them go by nicknames and we’ve never had an issue with it.
