Do you discuss past sexual partners with your SO?

Me and my husband went out to dinner with a couple that we hang out with occasionally. They started fighting because she was telling a story that happened with her ex. He was super upset about it. 
Me and hubby don’t necessarily just discuss our past sexual experiences but they have come up while we were having other conversations and nobody gets mad.

I mean, sometimes a conversation leads to discuss past experiences or people, and my husband and I always laugh it off 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s usually something embarrassing lol. We’ve never gotten mad at each other for talking about past partners. No need to. We’re in the now

What is there to get mad about? Whitewashing the past means you don’t really know your partner and they don’t know you. 
We talk about anything and everything and we’re interested in each other’s lives even though we’ve heard everything 1000 times lol.

My husband tells his past ex stories all the time and I do not get mad. If it’s constant over and over I’ll get a little irritated but never mad at him.. we all have a past and if he has proud moments or crazy story’s I want to hear them. Just let’s me know him better!

So my husband is my first, but I’m certainly not his. His six years older than me so he’s got more experience than I do, but if that does come up in conversation he always starts with “I’m sorry to bring this up” or something along those lines. We just had the same convo!! His friend and his boyfriend always talk about their last relationships and ex partners and it seems so strange to me
