I just turned 40, and gave birth to my 4th baby
I just turned 40, and gave birth to my 4th baby. I stayed in pretty good shape. Gained very little weight, ate healthy, and stayed very active throughout pregnancy. I experienced pretty significant pain in my pelvic floor throughout pregnancy. So, i did well considering. My beautiful boy is the smallest of my 4 kids .He is 7 lbs 15oz. The rest were in the 9lb range. His labor was a bit harder than expected, water broke first( unlike my others) Theirs broke in the pushing stage. After water broke it took 5 hours for my contractions to be real steady. I seemed not to dialate as fast . But once fully dialated pushed 3 times and baby was in our arms. I had my baby at home, with only my husband and midwife presesnt. We used a birthing pool. Very quiet relaxing experience, mixed in with the exhausting painful exertion of natural labor. Its wonderful the power that God gives us to bring life into this world. All around, I loved this pregnany the most of my 4. Appreciated every moment I had with my little blessing with me. The picture is me at 30 weeks.
