Scared to test

Need help, my period is usually on time. My period is due today and it usually comes at first thing in the morning. Last time i tested the day of my expected period( my test was positive), but turned out to be am ectopic pregnancy. That was well over a year ago. I am afraid that it will be the same results as two years ago. So please help me what should i do?
