How does DR confirm pregnancy?

Hi Ladies, 
I have taken 4 tests and all have been positive, I have read I now need to book an appointment with my DR to confirm pregnancy. How will they confirm? Another pee test, blood, something else?

Phone your doctors surgery tell them your pregnant and they either book you straight in with a midwife or ask you to see the doctors.. Mine always been straight to midwife with my 2nd and 3rd babies. They don’t confirm pregnancy at the doctors you see the midwife at 8wks, she gives you blood tests and wee samples to do. Medical history or yourself and partner, few more questions like if you smoke things like that. Then she refer you to hospital for your 1st scan at 12wks that’s when they confirm pregnancy really..

Your midwife will see you at 8 weeks, they do a booking appointment with you and do a urine and blood sample, as well as going through you and your partners medical history etc and then they book you in for your 12 week scan xx

They don't. 
You contact your GP surgery and they tell you how to get a midwife, it's done differently in different parts of the country. I was given a number to ring to self refer.
I then got a letter telling me when my 8 week midwife appoint was scheduled for, and she then booked my 12 week scan.
It's standard practice in the UK for doctors not to test urine / blood, so the first time any professional confirms you're pregnant is during the 12 week ultrasound scan.
