Do you feel like euthanasia is murder? *Read before posting*

Me

*This is about involuntary euthanasia.* For those who don’t know that basically means that you’re deciding whether to end someone else’s life without their consent. I had to write my opinion on it for my psych class and one of my classmates said they thought involuntary was murder. I disagree because this could mean that a family member is on life support and you’re choosing to withdraw care. It could also mean that your family member has constantly had extraordinary measures performed (CPR) many times and it causing stress on their body when the best thing may be to let them go. Oh and the same can go for someone who is brain dead. No offense to others but I think it’s selfish to keep a person alive artificially just because you aren’t ready. I personally feel like the only form of euthanasia that should be considered murder is senselessly putting healthy animals down but that’s a whole other topic. Anyways do you think that withdrawing care of someone who can’t consent is murder?
